The Liberty II is the introductory DAC/Preamp in the Mytek lineup, featuring a host of inputs in a compact size, this is the perfect hub for desktop head-fi listening. A capable upgrade over its predecessor, the Liberty II has a detailed faceplate that showcases its broad range of supported formats, from MQA and HiRes PCM (up to 32/384kHz) all the way to DSD256. This is a DAC that can grow and adapt to nearly any system, and thanks to its balanced and unbalanced analog outputs, it can even serve as a preamp for your full-size stereo system.

At its heart, the Liberty II features a SABRE ES9038 DAC from ESS, a powerful chip that unlocks compatibility with a host of formats. From PCM support up to 32/384kHz, native DSD support to DSD256, DXD, all the way to full MQA compatibility – nearly any audio file in your collection can be enjoyed in total harmony right out of the box.
Power to excite
The Liberty II is powered by an overbuilt 60w toroidal linear power supply, directly integrated into the chassis. This highly capable PSU ensures that the sensitive listening componentry in the DAC can operate without any interruption or interference, while also delivering much needed current to the powerful 300mA/3W integrated headphone amplifier.
Need more power still? The Liberty THX AAA HPA has you covered. With a maximum output of 6W, your full Mytek stack will be a force to be reckoned with.
Thoroughly considered convenience
The advanced 32-bit hardware based volume control in the Liberty II offers 256 individual volume steps, each in 0.5dB increments, ensuring that your music will be precisely the correct volume at all times. Furthermore, you can use the included IR remote to control the DAC’s volume, inputs, and even streamed media (Spotify, TIDAL, Qobuz, YouTube via USB) at your leisure.
